How to buy PUMP?
A Degen’s Guide to the Pump Fun Presale and TGE
Well, it’s finally happening. What we’ve all been expecting and speculating about for a while now—Pump.Fun is launching their token. But it’s not going to be what everyone was expecting. Private sales and investors have been getting set in the background, but the real fireworks will kick off with the initial coin offering (ICO) and the follow-up, much awaited airdrop.
But there’s going to be a lot of confusion, misinformation, and probably outright scamming that’s going to get spread around over the next couple weeks, so we here at Trojan on Solana are gonna break this down in the most straightforward way possible.
What is PUMP?
PUMP is the upcoming “official native token” of pump fun (PF). What does that mean? PF hasn’t told us. It’s not labelled a “meme coin” or a “governance token”. They claim it will “deliver value” and “incentivize the ecosystem”, and that they are considering “utility mechanisms like fee rebates, token buybacks or other[s]”.
What does all this actually mean? Nothing concrete. But really, the question on everyone’s mind is, will this make me money and if so, how?
Well, before we get there, let’s look at some of the mechanics, distribution, and other analytics so you know what you’re getting into.
How will PUMP be distributed?
PF has stated PUMP is going to have a supply of 1 trillion tokens, with a breakdown as follows:

33% ICO sale
24% “community and ecosystem initiatives”
20% Team tokens
2.4% “ecosystem fund”
2% Foundation
13% Existing investors
3% for livestreaming
2.6% for liquidity + exchanges
It’s worth noting that there’s no clear information regarding how “team”, “foundation”, and “ecosystem” are differentiated. And a full outlay of who the “existing investors” are isn’t completely clear, though some searching indicates several VC firms are the likely candidates.
The ICO portion is broken down as 18% private sale and 15% public sale. We’ll talk about the mechanics of the public sale shortly. Each ICO token is selling at $0.004, so if you’re doing the math the ICO itself should be netting just over $1.3 billion right off the bat.
What about token lock ups? Are the VCs just going to get to dump on the public at launch?
According to PF the “existing investor” and “team” portions will be fully locked for about a year with an incremental unlocking for another 3 years after that. “Community and ecosystem initiatives” will be about half unlocked and will slowly unlock over the first year. Everything else is fully unlocked once trading begins.
And when does trading start?
There’s some slightly conflicting information circulating. PF says 48-72 hours after the sale ends, others say approximately 48 hours after the sale ends.
Where can I buy the PUMP ICO?
Alright, meat and potatoes. You can get in on the action starting this Saturday, July 12th, at Pump.fun’s ICO site, or any of the six other exchange sites:
But before you get all FOMO’d out, there’s one other thing. US, UK, Canada, and Australian bros, sorry it’s a no go for you. Not only will you get geoblocked on this one, you have to KYC before you can buy. But don’t give up yet. Just because you can’t get in the ICO doesn’t mean you can’t be a part of the degeneracy that will follow.

How do I get some PUMP if I can’t join the ICO?
There’s two possibilities: buy on the open market or hope for the airdrop. We’ll talk about the airdrop first.
Is the pump fun airdrop happening?
Maybe. PF says “airdrop coming soon”, but “soon” has to be the most hated word in crypto. Everybody in the space has plans. Giving away money usually doesn’t rank high on the priority list. So it’s a good idea to make trading plans instead of pinning hopes on “soon” and be pleasantly surprised if it arrives.
How do you go about buying some PUMP then?
We’ve got you covered. Trojan on Solana has got the simplest, fastest, and most reliable telegram trading bot in the space. As soon as you’re ready you simply enter the contract address, select the buy amount, and hit the green button.
The swings are going to be wild, you say, how can I be sure to get in?
The best advice we can give is to preplan and to use a crypto trading bot. Pick price points ahead of time where you might want to get in and set up limit buy orders. If you plan on trying to snipe the launch, then get your slippage and tip fees scaled appropriately ahead of time. Our sniper bot is second to none.
We’ve built you all the tools you need to win on this one. Trying to manually trade your way through it will most likely end up in a pile of burned money and bad entries. Trojan on Solana is trusted by nearly 2 million users for a reason.

Dangers of the Pump Fun Token Launch
The pumpfun presale, token generation event (TGE), and launch are going to be fraught with scammers. It’s a $4 billion FDV pot of money. Fake contract addresses (CA), drainer links, and scam coins are going to be absolutely everywhere.
So how do you protect yourself?
Don’t click links from anyone.
Only buy the ICO from official sources.
Only trade the official CA.
Only trade with trusted providers.
One benefit to the delay between the ICO and the start of trading is that the CA should be publicly available beforehand so that there is less risk of getting the wrong one. But there’s no guarantee.
Less likely risks are exploits, social media hacks, and malicious code. In the end, only put money into PUMP that you are willing to lose. It’s investing, which has risks, but this is crypto and a brand new token so, shields up. And try to have fun.
If you have questions, we’ve got a 24/7 dedicated support staff to help you through it all.
Conclusion
Should you buy PUMP?
Well, that’s one we can’t answer. Big, hyped up coin launches tend to follow a pattern though. Generally there is a meteoric rise for a short time with some drastic, brief sell offs, followed by a slow bleed, and finally a base is found where accumulation happens and people forget about it for a while or forever. But sometimes, just sometimes, coins come along that keep going up.
If you decide to get into PUMP we’ve got the perfect trading bot to run your trades through.
